UPDATE: Council postpones decision on emergency moratorium

Friday, May 18, 2007

The City Council has postponed a decision on an emergency moratorium that would halt the issuance of building permits for multifamily residential construction projects in Mountain Home for six months.

The council was scheduled to vote on the moratorium at a special meeting on Friday but has delayed voting on the issue until they have the opportunity to discuss the proposed moratorium more in-depth and perhaps schedule a public hearing where comments on the issue could be presented by members of the community that might be affected by the emergency moratorium.

Information on the proposed emergency moratorium ordinance will be shared as it becomes available.
