Tiger track coach Rich Urquidi was pleased with their efforts at the Twin Falls meet.

"It kind of came down to the pole vault, which was the last event, and we were way ahead of Jerome (in the boys meet for second place), and Jerome got like 19 points in the pole vault, so that tied them with us, but other than that, I thought the boys were really solid. We didn't finish the 4x100 (meter relay) because Tallon Pauley kind of came up lame off the corner and we didn't even finish the race. I think that was the difference right there, because I think we would have won the 4x100, and that would have given us second outright.

"On the girls side, they're really working hard. They finished third and I'm pleased with that."

The District III 4A Track and Field Meet is Thursday and Friday at Emmett. Coach Urquidi is optimistic going into district.

"I think we've got everybody set where we want them and we're ready to go. We're looking to be in the top three in both the girls and the boys -- that's our goal -- and I think our guys, if things fall in place, have a good shot of winning."
