Rodeo team earns top honors

The Mountain Home Rodeo team has been working hard to go to state in June.

At the fifth rodeo of the spring season, in New Plymonth, Justin Jarvis took 3rd in tie-down and 4th in saddle bronc.

On Sunday, rodeo number six, Sarah Cantrell placed 8th in break away and Randi Ireland placed 9th. Jarvis took 4th in steer wrestling.

Rodeos seven and eight were held in Homedale on May 5 and 6 . Jarvis took 2nd in the saddle bronc and placed in tie-down. Cantrell took 8th in goat tying. Billy Graham tied for 1st in bull riding, and Zane Palmer and his partner placed 8th in team roping. Ali Thomas placed 8th in pole bending.

On Sunday, Jarvis placed 3rd in saddle bronc and 1st in steer wrestling while Cantrell took 10th in break away.

Rodeo members earn points towards state every time they place in the top ten.

The last two rodeos of the season will be in Caldwell on May 27 and 28.

Jordan Lewis, a sophomore, recently joined the team.
