One car rollover closes eastbound I-84

Monday, May 7, 2007

Eastbound traffic lanes on I-84 were temporarily closed this afternoon due to a one car rollover near milepost 79.

Tana Leigh Daniel, 29, was traveling from Tennessee to Eugene, Ore., when she apparently lost control of the 1993 Nissan Maxima she was driving, over corrected, and went off the road, rolling the vehicle, according to Elmore County deputies.

Daniel was transported by helicopter to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center with incapacitating injuries and her condition is unknown.

The only other occupants in the vehicle were two young dogs who were not injured in the accident.

The vehicle suffered extensive damage to the front, side, and the roof, causing an estimated $10,000 in damage.
