Mountain Home Tigers U13 Girls finally savored the taste of victory on Saturday after defeating Caldwell 2-0.

"The whole team played hard," said Coach Lori Kush. "Our goalie and defense built a wall that Caldwell could not penetrate, while offensively our midfielders and forwards provided pressure that put through our two scores."

The U18 Boys defeated Osprey Rush 3-2 in a hard fought, physical battle at Eastside Park. Adam Wegrzyniak put two scores in for Mountain Home with Eduardo "Lalo" Martinez providing the final tally on a penalty kick.

Coach Curtis Viall's U12 boys took on the undefeated Boise Capitals in a midweek face off, losing 7-1.

"We played a good game, holding them scoreless until late in the first half," Coach Viall said.

Jason Christopherson put the only point in for United as Kaleb Stevens, Ben Klitzke and AJ Daniels (goalie) played strong on defense.

The U14 Girls struggled against the Kuna Storm U15s, a team that has only lost one game all season, coming up short 4-1.

Mountain Home only had nine players available for the contest and the heat and fatigue took its toll by the second half. The lone score of the day was put in by Jessica Tindall off a perfectly placed pass by Forrestt Zimmermann.

The girls will now begin preparing for the Canyon Rim Classic Tournament in Twin Falls.

Coach Rob Daniels U16 Boys (Coed) fell to the Boise Nationals U15s, with JJ Barroso finding the back of the net on an assist from Eloy Guadarrama for the Mountain Home's only score. As the regular season winds down this week, the team will be preparing for the Twin Falls tournament May 19-20.

The U12 Boys Tigers also went down to the hands of defeat at Vallivue, 3-1, with Jacob Hedrick providing the goal for Mountain Home.

Several scoring attempts by Austin Lucas, Tyler Rios and Ricardo Araujo were stopped short by the Vallivue defense.

The U14 Boys wound up with a 4-4 tie against Nampa, the only other undefeated team in the league.

It was a hard fought battle and each team played their best game of the year.

Mountain Home took a quick 2-1 lead in the first half with goals by Mike Daniels and Austin Clark. A header by Jalen Gibbons off a good cross by Tyson Gibbons gave Mountain Home a 3-1 advantage in the second half.

Nampa came storming back with 3 goals to take a 4-3 lead with only minutes remaining. Mike Daniels provided the equalizer in a good centering pass from Jalen Gibbons. The defense held a Nampa squad that has averaged five to six goals per game to only four goals.
