Delmer Wilbert Prest, 86, of Mountain Home, died Monday, April 16, 2007 at a Boise hospital.

At his request, no services are planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.

Delmer was born May 1, 1920, in Grangeville, Idaho, the son of Delbert and Stella Prest.

He was a World War II naval veteran. He retired from the trucking industry within Idaho after 45 years. He was also a back county pilot in the Cascade and McCall area. He loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

Delmer is survived by: his daughters, Linda, and her husband, Ray Blankenship, of Mountain Home, Clarine and her husband, Ted Ratigan, of Yuma, Ariz., Deline and her husband, Dick Anderson, of Yuma,; his sister, Esther Nixon of Colville, Wash., and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte, and his daughter, Susan.
