Mountain Home head track coach Rich Urquidi was excited about their efforts in the team's first meet of the season. "We had good times and it was a great opening meet for us. All of the coaches are proud of all our athletes. It was a great team effort in both the boys and girls, getting first and second. This is the first year that we've had depth with numbers.

"In track, the numbers are important. We've never really been in a position like this year where we can get, not only first places, but also seconds, third, fourths and fifths, so that really helps a lot, and everybody contributed, so we're excited about that."

The Tigers go to Bishop Kelly Thursday to face the Knights along with Skyview and Emmett.
