Marathon Cheese begins hiring process

Wednesday, August 16, 2006

Marathon Cheese, one of the world's largest independent cheese packagers, is recruiting employees for its new Mountain Home plant.

Company managers are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Supervisor, Electro-Mechanical Technicians, Machine Operators and Slice Machine Operators. Additionally, Marathon Cheese will be looking for a supervisor with a background in food production/packaging.

All that had registered earlier for Marathon jobs now are being notified by Idaho Commerce and Labor. They will have the opportunity to apply for jobs they are qualified for by contacting the Idaho Department of Commerce and Labor.

Then, from those applications, Marathon will begin its own hiring practices. The company's preference is those with prior food production experience.

Those who have not registered in advance with Commerce and Labor must do so now in order to be considered for employment with Marathon.

Application instructions are available through the Mountain Home office of the Idaho Commerce and Labor Department, located at 1993 E.8th North St., or by going to cl.idaho.gov.

For additional information contact the Mountain Home office of the Idaho Commerce and Labor at (208) 364-7788.
