Tiger wrestling coach Lynn Knudson was happy to get the wins at Caldwell.

"We moved our line-up around a little bit. We did have a couple kids that ended up getting injured in the first match, so we moved people around, expecting them to do the right things and good things, and they did, and I'm really happy with the wins. Right now, we're 3-0 in conference, so that's always a good thing."

TIGERS PLACE 21ST AT TIGER-GRIZZ;

3 TIGERS PLACE

The Mountain Home Tigers ended up placing 21st out of 35 teams competing at the Tiger-Grizz Wrestling Tournament at Skyline High School in Idaho Falls over the weekend.

Wasatch of Utah won the meet with 218.5 points, Weber of Utah finished a distant second with 153 points. Skyview came in third with 129.5 points, followed by Box Elder of Utah, 126, and Idaho Falls, 120. Mountain Home ended with 67 points, a point behind Rigby, and three behind Eagle.

Mountain Home had 11 wrestlers competing at the tourney, and had three place in the top six. Eight of them won at least one match, and five of them won at least three matches.

Calvin Vivier and Kori Andrews both finished fifth, Vivier at 135 lbs., and Andrews in the 160 pound weight class. Daniel Doronio finished sixth.

Kaeo Doronio at 112 lbs. and A.J. Hutchinson at 140 both won three matches in the tourney, just missing the medal round.

Nico Pinque 9130), James Greenfield (145) and Charles Davidson (215) all went 1-2 at the tourney, Greenfield going out with an injury.

Injuries also hindered Chris Knudson (171) and Tyson Sessions (189).

Zacq Hale (152) also wrestled in the tournament, going out in two tough, close matches.

"We went in there with 11 of our guys and ended up injury defaulting three of them out in the first day," said Coach Knudson.

"After the first day, we had some pretty good performances by Cal Vivier, Daniel Doronio and Kori Andrews, and a couple of the other guys were still wrestling Saturday, too, but ended up losing out before the medal rounds.

"Those three went on and wrestled fairly well. I'm happy they were able to place, it was a good performance by them, and now all we have to do is tune things up for the rest of the season."

The Tigers have a conference dual match at Kuna tonight (Wednesday) and host Emmett in a conference dual tomorrow (Thursday) night.
