Bruce and Shirley Rumpf, formerly of Mountain Home, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 23.

The Rumpf's celebrated the event with a trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

The couple were married on Dec. 23, 1955, at the old Congregational Church in Mountain Home, by the Rev. Pollard.

Shirley was born and raised in Mountain Home. Her maiden name was Stevenson. She taught in the Mountain Home School District from 1955 to 1967.

The couple now live in Wilsonville, Ore., but winter in Arizona.
