Boys soccer team defeats Jerome 4-0

The Mountain Home Tiger boys soccer team capped off last week with a win at Jerome after losing earlier in the week to Kuna and Nampa.

The Tigers were shut out at Kuna in SIC 4A boys soccer last Monday. With the loss the Tigers fell to 1-6-2 in conference play, and 5-7-2 overall.

The Tigers battled the Bulldogs tough in their final home soccer match of the season last Thursday at Eastside Park.

Aaron Swartz scored the Tigers' lone goal.

Nick Gula had eight saves on goal as goalkeeper.

Mountain Home 4

Jerome Tigers 0

Mountain Home returned to the win column at Jerome on Friday, shutting out the Jerome Tigers.

Nick Gula and Brian Walsh shared goalkeeping duties, each recording five saves in the shutout win.

Marcos Ortiz scored one goal and had three assists. Aaron Swartz, Nick Gula and Kyle Hall also scored goals.

The win improved the Tigers to 6-8-2 overall. They close out their regular season schedule this week on the road. They were at Skyview on Monday and go to Emmett on Thursday.

The District III 4A Tournament runs Oct. 17-22 at Vallivue.
