Vallivue 2

The Mountain Home girls soccer team won their second straight soccer match last Tuesday when they edged Vallivue 3-2 at Eastside Park in Mountain Home.

Getting scores from Shianna Hawley and Jessica Hendershot early, the Lady Tigers built up a 2-0 lead, only to see Vallivue score two goals before halftime to tie it at 2-2.

Mountain Home dominated play in the second half, and finally got a score by Angelina Garcia to go ahead, 3-2, then held off the Lady Falcons for the win.

Mountain Home girls soccer coach Carlos Jacome was pleased with the win.

"They started off pretty strong, but for some reason got a little weak in there when Vallivue came back, but we wanted to win the game, so we made some changes and we went with the strongest group regardless, and we were able to pull out the win. Overall, the girls did pretty good. I hope they keep it up."

Jessica Hendershot also had an assist, and Francesca Hale had an assist.

Savannah Lopez had 10 saves on goal as goalkeeper.

The win improved the Lady Tigers to 2-1-1 overall, and 1-0-1 in SIC 4A conference soccer.
