Girls soccer team beats Payette

The first week of girls soccer saw the Mountain Home Lady Tigers tie one, lose one, and win one, in that order.

Mountain Home 3

Caldwell 3

Mountain Home opened their girls soccer season at Caldwell on Aug. 29, and came away with a 3-3 tie with the Lady Cougars.

Shianne Hawley, Jessica Egusquiza and Carmen Santy each scored for Mountain Home.

Payette 4

Mountain Home 1

The Lady Tigers came up short, 4-1, at Payette in non-conference girls soccer on Aug. 30.

Shianne Hawley scored Mountain Home's lone goal, Lindsay Horgan had the assist.

Savannah Lopez had six saves on goal, and Francesca Hale, had five saves as goal keeper.

Mountain Home 9

Fruitland 1

Mountain Home picked up its first win of the season last Thursday at Fruitland, beating the Lady Grizzlies 9-1 in non-conference girls soccer.

Jessica Egusquiza scored three goals against Fruitland, and had two assists. Jen Rumley, Angelina Garcia both scored a goal and had one assist. Carmen Santy, Laura Lothrop and Shianne Hawley also scored goals. Stacy Sigloh and Emily Moranda both had assists.

Savannah Lopez had four saves on goal.

The Mountain Home girls have another busy week of soccer. They hosted Vallivue yesterday (Tuesday), travel to Kuna tomorrow (Thursday), and travel to Jerome on Friday. Vallivue and Kuna are both conference matches.
