He also worked as an EMT and a musician, "but his most important and happiest role was grandpa, husband, brother and uncle," his family said. "You could usually find Bud at the DI or an American Legion function as Bud was a 62 year member of the American Legion and past member of the BOPE Lodge of Mountain Home.
"In his better days," his family added, "Bud was an avid fisherman and hunter, spending many wonderful hours with family and friends, but none more special than teaching his grandsons to hunt and fish, watching them at their wrestling matches and teasing all the little kids, it brought him great joy.
"Bud generally had a joke for everyone and a nickname for all his family members."
He is survived by: his wife, Cleo; sisters, Maxine and Darlene; several stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by both parents, one brother and one sister.
