5A schools dominate local golf tourney

The 5A schools dominated this year's Mountain Home Invitational Golf Tournament, finishing in six of the top nine positions.

Timberline came in first, shooting a 316 team total, five shots better than Eagle. Borah was third, with a 323, three shots better than Mountain View.

Emmett was the top 4A finisher, shooting a 328, one stroke better than Vallivue. Capital was seventh, with a 333, followed by Caldwell, 340 and Centennial, 347. Skyview and Nampa tied for 10th, both shooting 353. Mountain Home came in with a 361, followed by Kuna, 375, and Boise, 376.

The Tigers were at Nampa's Broadmore Country Club Monday for boys and girls action. They go to Purple Sage in Caldwell today (Wednesday) for a tourney. They host another tourney on May 2 at Desert Canyon Golf Course.
