Tiger golfers finish seventh

The good news was the Tiger boys were just 18 strokes behind Bishop Kelly, who won last week's boys 4A SIC golf match at Falcon Crest Golf Course in Kuna. The bad news was they tied Emmett for seventh.

Bishop Kelly won the event, shooting a 163 team score. Vallivue was second, shooting a 167, a stroke better than host Kuna, 168. Nampa was another shot back at 189, followed by Caldwell at 170. Next came Skyview's 180, a stroke ahead of Mountain Home and Emmett.

Robbie Heithecker of Vallivue was medalist, shooting a 37. Joe Rebon led Mountain Home with a 39, which tied him for 6th. Nick Trueba shot a 46, Kyle Moore had a 47, Stephen Bitrick carded a 49, and Monte Rinebold came in with a 55.

Last Wednesday the SIC 4A girls played at Falcon Crest. Caldwell won it, shooting a 173, Vallivue was second, at 179. Nampa was a distant third, at 210, followed by Bishop Kelly at 219, Kuna, 226, Mountian Home, 240, and Emmett, 251.

Andrea Haney of Caldwell was medalist, shooting a 41. Jimena Garcia once again led Mountain Home, shooting a 49, which placed her ninth. Princess Young ccarded a 60 for Mountain Home, Shantell Beasley shot a 64, and Brianna Rodriguez came in with a 67.
