What began with a win over Bishop Kelly has now reached five, as the Mountain Home Lady Tigers picked up wins over Emmett, Vallivue and Burley last week.

Emmett 1

The Lady Tigers made it two straight conference wins when they knocked off conference favorite Emmett, 3-1 last Tuesday in Mountain Home.

Mountain Home took a 1-0 lead in the second inning when Michelle Reynolds walked, and came around and scored on an error.

Bishop Kelly tied it in the top of the third when they managed a run off Lady Tiger pitcher Ali Hillman, taking advantage of a walk, and scoring on a fielder's choice.

The Lady Tigers regained the lead in the bottom of the third when Sammy Dodge singled in Ali Hillman, who had singled earlier. They added an insurance run in the fifth, when Hillman tripled and came home on a passed ball.

"It was a very nice win!" said an excited Mountain Home softball coach Joy Memmelaar after the game. "It was nice coming off the back of the win over B.K. and the girls played really well."

Ali Hillman picked up the win, evening her season record at 3-3. She struck out two and walked three, and limited the Lady Knights to a single hit. She also had two hits at the plate and scored two runs. Sammy Dodge also had two hits, and drove in a run. Paula Doerr doubled for the other Mountain Home hit, and Dani Sloderbeck also had an RBI.

Vallivue 4

Things got a little tense last Thursday when Vallivue scored three runs in the top of the first inning, but the Lady Tigers retaliated with four in the bottom of the inning.

Ali Hillman limited the Lady Falcons to one run the rest of the way, and smacked a two-run home run for good measure as Mountain Home prevailed, 7-4.

"It was a little scary that first inning when we gave up three runs, but we got back four," said Coach Memmelaar after the game. "We kind of settled down and played some very nice defensive ball, and the girls hit the ball well, so it was another good win."

Kim Hamilton had three hits and scored three runs for the Lady Tigers. Sammy Dodge also had a hit and RBI. Ashley Kipp also had a hit, and Trisha Van Meer scored two runs.
