Masked man robs Sunset C

Wednesday, March 23, 2005

The "Sunset C" Sinclair gas station and convenience store was robbed by a masked man Sunday night.

The robber, described as a white male, between 5' 7" and 5'10, approximately 150 lbs., wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a blue ski mask entered the store at about 10:30 p.m. At first he demanded to be taken to the safe, but when the clerk, who was not identified by authorities, said she couldn't open it, the man demanded the cash from the till.

Police said he did not display a weapon or make any threats.

The robber escaped on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. As soon as he left, the clerk hit the alarm button and called police, who arrived less than two minutes later, but were unable to spot anyone matching the description.

It was the first robbery in Mountain Home in several years.

Police ask that anyone who may have any information concerning the crime to call them at 587-2101.
