Anna "Anita" Gonzalez Herrera, 74, of Mountain Home, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005, at her residence.
Vigil services will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 2, at Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel. Visitation will be held prior to the vigil from 4-6 p.m. at the chapel.
Funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 3, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
Anita was born Jan. 11, 1931, in Villa Hidalgo, Zacatecas, Mexico, the daughter of Benito Gonzalez Lopez and Kirina Herrera Escovedo.
She lived there until 11 years ago when she moved to Mountain Home to be near her two grandsons, Elias and Luis.
Anita loved to spend time outdoors, her family said. "She was a hard worker always keeping herself busy. The greatest joy of her life was spending time with her family and friends."
Anita is survived by: her sons, Antonio Ibarra Gonzales and Mauricio Ibarra Gonzales; daughters Celia Ibarra Gonzales, Ofecia Ibarra Gonzales and Anna Maria Ibarra Gonzales, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, one grandson and a brother.
