Couple welcomes New Year's baby

The family of Marie and Javier Baltarzar has one more addition, now.

Just hours into 2005, Marie and Javier Baltarzar of Mountain Home, welcomed their daughter, the first baby of the new year for Elmore County.

Marline Baltarzar was born at 5:10 a.m. at Elmore Medical Center Hospital, weighing 5 lbs. 14 oz.

Marline joins a brother, Junior (Javier), and two sisters, Marcella and Meribell.

As the New Year's baby, Marline and her family received a gift basket from Green's Nursery, valued at $200, $50 savings bond donated by Home Federal, $25 Tiger Account donated by Pioneer Federal Credit Union, a stuffed animal donated by Unique Boutique, Shaklee products donated by Arline and Donald Foster, and a hand-crocheted afghan donated by Jeanette Gardiner of Gardiner Business Support Services.

The Baltarzars were not the only local family to celebrate the birth of a baby on New Years Day.

Crystal and Jonathan Kinsman, Mountain Home, welcomed a new son, Jonathan Edward Kinsman, born Jan. 1, 2005, at Elmore Medical Center Hospital. He weighed 6 lbs. 14.3 oz. and was 19 inches in length.

Grandparents are Robert and Sara Kinsman of Miami, Fla., and Edward and Mary Vassar of Mountain Home.

The baby boy received a layette donated by Coleen Swenson at the Mountain Home News.
