A planning meeting has been set for Dec. 15 for those interested in being a part of a renewed Mountain Home American Legion baseball program. That meeting is set for 6 p.m. on Dec. 15 in Room H at the Mountain Home High School Annex.

Mountain Home Tiger baseball coach Travis DeVore has set up a meeting for players, parents and interested community members at 6:00 p.m. in Room H at the Mountain Home High School Annex.

"The meeting is open to parents and players, as well as community members that would like to get involved in helping raise funds, organize and put together an American Legion baseball program," said DeVore.

"The community owes a debt of gratitude certainly to Soapy Walborn for all the work he's done in the last 20 years," DeVore added.

"Last year it was unfortunate there wasn't anything in place to replace the work that he's done. Some of the kids went down and played for Glenns Ferry, and we're certainly appreciative of the work Denis Uhl did down there, but this summer we want to get a team going here as well."
