Girls soccer team bows out at district

Losses to Vallivue and Skyview ended the season for Mountain Home at the District III 4A Girls Soccer Tournament at Vallivue last week.

The Lady Tigers opened against Vallivue last Monday, a team they had tied, 2-2, both times they played during the regular season. Mountain Home dominated the game, with over 20 shots on goal. Karen Kohtz had five saves on goal for the Lady Tigers, but Vallivue managed to get one ball in the net to escape with a 1-0 win.

The loss put them against Skyview, who, after beating Caldwell, 4-3, lost to Kuna in the semi-finals, 4-1. The game went to overtime tied, 1-1, and stayed that way until Skyview edged the Lady Tigers, 2-1, in a shootout. That loss ended the season for the Lady Tigers.
