Silver Wings readies 2005 airshow

Wednesday, October 27, 2004

Alan Bermensolo, president of Silver Wings of Idaho, has announced plans for the Gunfighter Skies 2005 air show to be held at Mountain Home AFB.

Silver Wings is a non-profit group that has helped fund high-quality performers appearing at the last two airshows held on base.

Silver Wings is hoping to organize, along with the base, an airshow in the fall of 2005, probably in the weeks shortly after AFAD.

"We are planning for anothe great air show," Bermensolo said, "and are working with the 366th Fighter Wing and the Thunderbirds to finalize the schedule and determine a date for the weekend event."

Bermensolo and the Silver Wings board of directors said they hope the third Gunfighter Skies airshow will "once again showcase today's Air Force and honor all our military members and their families.

"Idaho is well known around the country for the support given by the community to our military. With support from local businesses and lots of volunteer help we will have another great air show."
