The Tigers battled to a 2-2 tie with Skyview last Monday at Eastside Park. Ramiro Pedroza and Brian Weiss both had goals for Mountain Home. Weiss had an assist on Pedroza's goal.

"They scored the tying goal late in the game, as we had the lead till then," said Mountain Home Tiger boys soccer coach Andrew Kerr.

The Tigers and Huskies battled to a scoreless first half tie, but Emmett managed a goal in the early going of the second half which stood up for the 1-0 conference win.

"They played a really good second half," said Coach Kerr of his squad's effort afterwards.

"They just made a really bad mental mistake and that was the game, really. It broke it wide open. We just couldn't put it in tonight, and had seven or eight really good quality shots, and when we did get one in, they called it back, which was a really bad call, but you've got to take the breaks, and that's what happens."

The Tigers opened District III 4A Boys Soccer Tournament play Monday at Caldwell against Kuna, a team they beat once and tied once during the regular season.

"They'll be tough, but hopefully, we can get back on track," said Coach Kerr, heading into the District Tournament.
