Boys soccer stays unbeaten

The Mountain Home Tigers boys soccer team remained unbeaten in SIC 4A conference soccer last week, picking up wins over Vallivue and Kuna.

The Tigers scored three second-half goals to pull away from the Vallivue Falcons for a 4-1 win last Tuesday at Eastside Park in Mountain Home.

Brady Rector, Reza Mesmarian, Brian Weiss and Ramiro Pedroza all scored goals for Mountain Home. Aaron Swartz had seven saves on goal for the Tigers.

"We played really well today," said Tiger boys soccer coach Andrew Kerr. "We got some good quality passes and were moving it, spreading their team out, which opened it up for us."

Kuna 0

Antonio Martinez scored the lone goal of the game last Wednesday at Kuna, as the Tigers stayed unbeaten in league play.

Aaron Swartz had 14 saves on goal for the Tigers, who improved to 5-2 on the season, and 3-0 in league play.

Middleton 0

The Tigers battled to a scoreless tie with the Middleton Vikings Saturday at Eatside Park in Mountain Hone.

Aaron Swartz recorded six saves for the Tigers, wo were hopng to avenge a 3-1 loss to the Vikings at Middleton earlier in the season.

The Tigers hosted Nampa Monday in a league showdown, and travel to Skyview tomorrow (Thursday).
