Gilbert takes over as AD

There are some different faces in different places at Mountain Home High School this school year.

James Gilbert has replaced Jeff Johnson as Mountain Home High School Activities Director. Johnson left the AD post to assume the assistant principal position at the high school that was vacated by Suzanne Rankin's retirement last May.

Gilbert, who has been a teacher and head cross country coach, indicated he is excited about his new duties.

"It's definitely been a learning experience the last couple weeks. There's a lot to it, but it's been fun and it's a challenge, but I'm looking forward to the rest of the school year."

Gilbert indicated he has no plans for any major changes as activities director at Mountain Home High School.

"I think the big thing is just carrying on with the traditions that have been set before. I think the athletic programs the last couple years have started to really take off, and I think that's a tribute to the things Jeff (Johnson) and the school district have done. My goal is to just keep things rolling, and hopefully, we'll build upon that."
