Tigers earn all-SIC honors

Awards and honors were handed out at the annual Tiger Baseball Awards Banquet last week.

Two Tigers made First Team All-Conference SIC 4A. Jacob Dunn received First Team All-Conference at first base, and Brett Young was First Team All-Conference as an outfielder.

Second Team All-Conference Utility Player award went to David Pacheco.

Mountain Home Tiger head baseball coach Travis DeVore also handed out team awards at the banquet.

Earning the Most Valuable Offensive Player Award was Brett Young. The Tiger sophomore led the team in hits, runs scored, RBIs, doubles, triples and home runs.

The Most Valuable Defensive Player Award went to Tiger shortstop David Wise.

The Most Valuable Pitcher Award went to Michael Hobgood.

The Best Work Ethic Award went to Dillon Barresi.

Jacob Dunn earned the Player of the Year Award for the team.

"I'm proud of this team, and I'm proud of their efforts," said Coach DeVore of his team's fourth-place finish at atate and a season that ended with a 14-13 overall record. "I've really got a lot of good memories to take with me into the off season. These kids have really given so much these last couple weeks."
