The Mountain Home Tigers picked up a conference win and a non-conference loss last week in boys soccer.

Mountain Home 2

Kuna 1

Mountain Home got goals from Stephen Reinschmidt and Chris Ouellette last Tuesday when they downed Kuna at Eastside Park in SIC 4A conference boys soccer.

Jorge Dominguez and Brady Rector had assists on the goals, and Tiger goalkeeper Mitch Thomas had six saves on goal.

"We needed that," said Tiger boys soccer coach Hugo Hurtado. "These guys( Kuna) were in second place I think, so we're now in second in district. It was good, we're getting better."

Jerome 2

Mountain Home 0

Mountain Home hosted Jerome last Thursday at Eastside Park, where they were shut out, 2-0.

The local Tigers did play much better against the visiting Tigers this time around. Mountain Home opened the season at Jerome back on Aug. 28, losing a 4-1 contest.

Mountain Home took a 3-1-1 conference mark and 4-7-1 overall record into yesterday (Tuesday)'s conference match against conference leader Vallivue. They play at Caldwell tomorrow (Thursday).

They close out their regular season schedule next week, at Emmett on Tuesday and are home against Fruitland on Oct. 16.
