Ten people were arrested on drug-related charges after Mountain Home Police served three separate warrants at the Escoshio Apartments Sept. 30.

A six-month investigation by the Mountain Home Special Investigation Unit resulted in the three warrants being served simultaneously to prevent the subjects from communicating with each other.

Arrested were: Zelda Mason, 39, charged with possession of a controlled substance; Kevin Howard, 18, possession of controlled substance; Alonzo Tyler, 44, frequenting a place where drugs are used or sold; Francisco (Frankie) Nunez Jr., 24, possession of a controlled substance; Vance Dillard, 23, possession of a controlled substance; Jem Cochran, 20, attempt to procure alcohol by an adult minor and frequenting a place where drugs are used or sold; Nicole Rowland, 20, attempt to procure alcohol by an adult minor and frequenting a place where drugs are used or sold; Trisha Ellis, 19, possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia; Michael McDonald, 23, frequenting drug premises and possession of controlled substance; and Lance Oday, 21, frequenting drug premises and fail to pay warrant.

Police Chief Tom Berry said approximately 20 officers were involved in the drug bust and thanked the Elmore County Sheriff's Department for assistance in handling the local calls while the officers served the warrants.

"We want people to know this is not acceptable behavior. If they keep bringing this type of activity into our community, we will keep arresting them," said Berry, who said the investigation began when complaints were received from the public. He noted that people should "not have to put up with these types of activities in their neighborhoods." Berry said there are a number of other ongoing investigations. "We are letting the people who are interested in doing these types of activities know that we will continue to go after them."
