Girls soccer beats Vallivue, ties Emmett

The Mountain Home girls soccer team opened SIC 4A soccer play on the road last week, tying Emmett and beating Vallivue.

Mountain Home played well at Emmett last Monday, getting goals from Jessica Hendershot and Jessica Egusquiza in the tie. Gabby Ruiz had an assist on one of the goals, and Savannah Lopez turned in a great performance as goal keeper, getting 15 saves on goal.

Vallivue 1

Mountain Home pulled off an upset at Vallivue last Wednesday, edging the Lady Falcons, 2-1. Jessica Hendershot scored both goals for the Tiger girls, Carmen Santy and Kim Neely had assists. Savannah Lopez had 19 saves on goal for Mountain Home, who improved to 3-3-1 overall, and 1-0-1 in conference play.

The Lady Tigers were at home against Fruitland on Monday, in the first of five straight home matches.

They host Caldwell this (Wednesday) afternoon, and host Payette on Saturday. They host Kuna on Monday, and host Emmett on Oct. 1.
