Mountain Home won four the second time in four decisions, beating the Nampa girls 5-2 last Monday at Eastside Park.

Carmen Santy, Kim Neely, Caroline Lytle, Jen Rumley and Dani Goldfein all scored goals. Mountain Home goalkeeper Savannah Lopez had nine saves on goal in the win.

"They've been working real hard," said Mountain Home head girls soccer coach Carlos Correa after the win. "They're young players and we have a lot of young talent that I have to develop for the next two or three years that I'm going to have them together. Every game that we play, they're improving and getting better."

The Tiger girls went to Middleton last Saturday for a non-conference match, and came up on the short end of a 1-0 contest, despite getting 23 shots on goal to Middleton's 15.

"It was a good game. We played really well." said Mountain Home assistant girls soccer coach Jay Lockett. "We just couldn't get our shots to fall in the net."

Savannah Lopez turned away 14 of the 15 attempts on goal by Middleton.

Mountain Home was at Emmett on Monday for their SIC 4A conference opener. They go to Vallivue this (Wednesday) afternoon in conference play, and are home against Fruitland in a non-conference encounter next Monday.
