Hunter McLaughlin, 5 months

Hunter M. McLaughlin, 5-month-old son of Patrick and Jennie McLaughlin, died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at the Elmore Medical Center Hospital in Mountain Home. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, March 12, at the Liberty Chapel at Mountain Home Air Force Base. Cremation is under the direction of Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.

Hunter was born Sept. 11, 2002, at Mountain Home Air Force Base, the son of Patrick and Jennie (Powell) McLaughlin. Hunter was the love and light of his family's life. "He will be greatly missed," his family said.

Hunter is survived by: his parents Patrick and Jennie McLaughlin; godparents David and Rhonda Barnett of Mountain Home; maternal grandparents Beverly Powell of North Charleston, S.C., and Dennis Powell of Moncks Comer, S.C.; paternal grandparents Patrick McLaughlin, Sr., of Key Largo, Fla., and Kathy Coffey of Moncks Comer, S.C.; maternal great-great-grandparents Jessie and John LaMothe of Goose Creek S.C.; paternal great-great-grandparents Carl and Nancy Young of Goose Creek S.C., and paternal great-great-great-grandmother Dorothy Young, and numerous cousins.
