Remembrance event slated

People in the Mountain Home community will honor the memory of the loved ones they've lost during "From Darkness to Light" -- a remembrance celebration that begins at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, at Railroad Park. Hosted by Treasure Valley Hospice of Mountain Home, people will write the names of their loved ones on ornaments and hang the decorations on a designated tree at the community park. Dear editor, Wow! Lately, the aesthetic changes in our fair city have been phenomenal. I curiously watched as the awkward triangle in front of Albertsons morphed into an inviting, welcoming, beautiful area near one of Mountain Home's main entrance points. The huge rock with "Mountain Home" on it shows that many of us who chose to live here take pride in our town, and we want people to feel welcome as they enter it...

Lady Tigers fall to Emmett, post win against Vallivue

The Lady Tigers were unable to overcome a first half scoring deficit as they fell to Emmett but rebounded two days later as they beat Vallivue as the girls varsity basketball season continued last week.
