Arts council presents Red Feather Ladies

The Red Feather Ladies Get Their Man and the Bugsy Malone Preview will be presented by Mountain Home Arts Council on Friday, Feb. 8, and Saturday, Feb. 9 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Fellowship Hall. A slow start proved to be the downfall for the Mountain Home Lady Tigers on Friday as they lost to Kuna, 59-44, in conference basketball at Lloyd Schiller Gymnasium in Mountain Home. After an opening basket by Jacci Cristobal gave Mountain Home a 2-0 lead with 6:33 left in the first quarter, the Lady Tigers did not score again until Cristobal made one of two free throws with 1:40 remaining in the quarter -- a span of nearly five minutes. ...

Gary Harlan Chipman, 69, died in his home on the ranch on Jan. 14, 2013, surrounded by his family and friends, after a courageous battle against cancer. Born on Jan. 22, 1943, in Boise to Jack and Martha Frost Chipman, Gary and his brother, Bill, grew up in Meridian and Mountain Home where they spent many hours taking care of their family's cattle, riding horses, putting up hay, helping the neighbors and milking cows while sneaking a smoke in the barn. ...
