Idaho is in great shape because the voters have entrusted it to Republican leadership, Gov. Butch Otter said in his keynote address during the annual Lincoln Day Banquet last Thursday at War Memorial Hall in Mountain Home. Emiko M. Hatifield, 73, of Mountain Home, died at her home on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007. At her request, no services are planned. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. Emiko was born Jan. 4, 1934 in Karafuto, Japan. Emiko was schooled in Japan and married Joshua G. Hatfield VI, in Japan. She followed Joshua through his military career and in 1980, they settled in Oklahoma. After Joshua passed away Emiko moved to Mountain Home to be with her son...

Marilyn "Lyn" Karen Mikach, 74 of Mountain Home, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, at a local care center. At her request, no services are planned. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. Lyn was born on July 1, 1932, in Stockton, Calif., the daughter of Chelsey and Harriet Cox. She was raised in Riverbank and attended high school in Oakdale, Calif....

Maurice Allen "Bud" Riddle, 83, of Mountain Home, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, at a local nursing home. Funeral Services were held Friday, Feb. 16, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, with burial following at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home. Two down, one to go! The Mountain Home Tigers followed up their Southern Idaho Conference 4A wrestling title with a district championship, after winning the two-day tourney at Skyview last week. Mountain Home picked up 320 points to win the district title. Kuna was second with 294 points, Nampa, third with 242. From there it went Columbia (233.5), Middleton (198.5), Skyview (111), Bishop Kelly (94), and Emmett (76)...
