  • Love your blog. Kids need some magic now and then. I think that adults get a little jaded, because they miss their own loved ones who have passed away. And some feel pressured to provide the best and most perfect Christmas ever.

I miss my dad, my friend Susan and my sister-in-law Diana, who passed away 4 years ago today.

I always appreciate your point of view. Thank you.

  • Melodie:

Very nice blog. I hope the season finds you well. Very pretty Christmas tree! I love the art in the background too. Congratulations on your first Christmas with Ryan. You are growing up before our eyes.

Merry Christmas Melodie and Ryan. This is my favorite time of the year as well. I love the crisp air and a nice cup of chai tea or hot chocolate with a friend. I love being out with my horses---they love the crisp winter air and are full of energy.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday! I believe in Santa (but I may be on the naughty list this year).

  • All, thank you!

Ms. Lauric, thank you. Except for the red balls, the ornaments have passed through Ryan's family until his mom gve them to me two years ago, so it is especially meaingful thbat I get to use them this year!

Merry Christmas to you and your family as well!

The ornaments are so pretty. How nice that Ryan's mom has handed them down to you---I had to wait a long time for that (from my Grandma). You have inspired me to put up the "Chanukkah Bush" today (thank you). I hope you will continue to check in with us. I enjoy hearing about what you are doing. You are a very bright young lady! Thank you again for the great blog. Merry Christmas to you and Ryan! Be well Melodie.

  • my grandma had a dog like that. We loved her. Dad would feed her table scraps when no one was looking. He didn't do that for all dogs, but she had a special spot in his heart.

  • Oh that secret got to me when I was 9. But I was still excited to get gifts and play along with the Santa ruse until I was 13, since that was about when the rest of the kiddos knew. I was the oldest.

Beanie is actually very skinny, I just took that photo at a bad angle. She is pretty spoiled though!

  • BroncoTommy,

Lurk enough and you will find yourself knit into the MHN community like the rest of us. I've only met a few of the bloggers in real life.
