It's been a while...
While I've been sleuthing about at least once a week to see what's going on in Mountain Home, I haven't had much time to sit down and blog.
Life in Oklahoma is great. I love school, and OU has so much to do (and plenty of awesome football games to watch!).
I'm working at the photo desk of the school's paper and having an absolute blast with it. Just last night I photographed a volleyball game and a concert sponsored by our union programming board. The photo I attached is one of 400 I took at the show.
I'm also in the process of pledging Alpha Phi Omega national service fraternity. Quick pitch: I have never made so many friends so quickly, and they're all wonderful, service-minded people. If you fall into this category (or were active in scouting) this is the group to join in college.
Classes are good. I'm taking mostly general education courses this semester, but will have more major-specific classes next semester.
If you're curious about some of my work (and the story that I wrote last week for the paper on a whim), browse oudaily.com.
I got a phone call last night- the staff that attended the Idaho State Journalism Conference placed very well in their competitions, and the paper as well as last year's yearbook took best of show. :) It's a great weekend to be a former editor!
