City council addresses street, water fees

The discussion regarding street fees came as city crews worked to fix water lines located beneath roads in the local area that cracked and started leaking water as temperatures dropped below freezing in recent weeks.

Proposed increases to street fees and local water rates highlighted the discussions members of the city council addressed during a scheduled public meeting Feb. 10.

The issue presented at the meeting involved two resolutions calling for establishing water and wastewater rates set to take effect March 1.
