‘You Are More’ founder gains state honor

Ava Johnson’s efforts to create the You Are More program at Mountain Home High School led her to earn the Alice and Charles Taylor Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award.

Recognizing her efforts to provide help to students and others in the local area dealing with “dark moments” in their lives, a graduate from Mountain Home High School here was named as the recipient of a state-level award.

Ava Johnson, who graduated from the high school in 2025, prepared to receive the Alice and Charles Taylor Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award.
