Deborah “Debbie” Matkus

Deborah “Debbie” Matkus passed away peacefully, leaving behind memories of a gentle spirit and a heart full of love.

Debbie had a happy, innocent soul and brought quiet joy to those who knew her

Born with developmental disabilities, Debbie was lovingly cared for throughout her life. She was first devotedly cared for by her mother, Patricia Parrish, whose unwavering love and dedication shaped Debbie’s early years.

After her mother’s passing, Debbie was compassionately cared for by her sister, Laura Reagan, who continued that same devotion and care until her own passing just one week before Debbie’s.

Debbie found happiness in the simple things. She deeply loved cats and took great delight in Disney princesses, which brought color and comfort to her days. Her gentle presence and sweet nature touched the lives of her family in ways that words can never fully capture.

Debbie was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Parrish; her father, Richard Matkus; her brother, Michael Matkus; and her sister and caregiver, Laura Reagan

She is survived by her brother, Scott Matkus, and her sister, Jana Johnson, who will carry her memory forward with love.

Debbie’s life was a reminder that kindness, innocence, and love do not need words to be felt. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
