Richard Bruce Bonecher

Richard (Ric) Bruce Bonecher of Mountain Home, Idaho, passed away January 7th, 2026. Ric was born in Boise, Idaho, on November 20th, 1948, to David and Norma Bonecher of Mountain Home. Ric was an only child and was educated K-12 in Mountain Home.
Ric married Karen Sue Noe in November 1968. They had just celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary 2 months before Karen’s passing in January of 2024. They had 2 sons together. William (Bill) was born in 1969, and Robert (Bob) in 1971. In his younger years, Ric worked in various industries, including the old sawmill and well drilling. He became a licensed HVAC technician and worked in that field for several years before getting into housing maintenance at MHAFB. He worked his way up to Project Manager and moved around the US to various Military Bases for several different companies.
He moved back to Mountain Home in 2002 and worked at Elmore Medical Center until he retired. Ric was a private pilot earlier in life and was very fond of flying. He loved going out target shooting and hunting whistle pigs.
Ric was preceded in death by his mother, father, and his wife, Karen. He is survived by his son William and his wife Marcie, his son Robert, and 6 grandchildren.
