Students earn yearly VFW titles

Two students from the Mountain Home area earned honors as they shared their perspectives with regards to patriotism and national unity as they took part in a yearly competition hosted by the local Veterans of Foreign Wars post.

Wavaerly Wallaert gained recognition as the post winner during the Patriots Pen Essay contest while Ella Gonzalez took home post-level honors before taking home a second-place award during the district-level Voice of Democracy event.
