Am Myong Suk Lawrance

Am Myong Suk Lawrance, known as “Sue” passed away at home on Sunday, December 21, 2025 with her family present.

She was born November 7, 1937 in Seoul, Korea. She married Jimmy L. King Sr. in Seoul who passed away in October 1982 leaving her with 2 preteen sons. She made every effort to provide a good home for the boys. She proudly attained her U.S. citizenship. She married Richard Lawrance in March 1986.

She loved her children and her grandchildren. Every year she raised a large garden. She was passionate about Bingo, except when she had to split the pot. Then she would say “someone got half of my money”. She was an excellent cook; she prepared great meals and kept a well-maintained home for the family.

She is survived by her husband, her sons, George King and Jimmy King as well as 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A viewing and visitation will be held January 6, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. with services to begin at 11:00 at Rost Funeral Home followed by interment at the Mountain View Cemetery.
