Fostering holiday season’s spirit...

Following two tree-lighting ceremonies, Santa and Mrs. Claus make their way to the Glenns Ferry Opera Theater as the “Ferry Merry Christmas” festivities began on Saturday.

A persistent wind Saturday evening blasted its way across Glenns Ferry, causing the outside temperatures to drop. Despite the chilly weather, people in the community came together to take part in this year’s “A Ferry Merry Christmas” celebration.

The holiday event saw a last-minute change earlier that afternoon due to the cancellation of the scheduled horse-drawn hay rides through the city’s downtown area.
