High school student earns national honor

A message of patriotism as well as the sacrifices made by the nation’s military veterans led a student from Mountain Home High School to earn national-level recognition earlier this month.

Tanis Vedder, a junior at the high school, claimed the American Legion’s Western Division title during the annual Poppy Art Contest.
