Toni Hill of Mountain Home caught a view of the aurora borealis that made its appearance across the northern skies across Idaho as well as across the northern United States last week following a series of solar storms that erupted from the sun.
Known as coronal mass ejections, these multiple, massive bursts of charged particles from the sun's atmosphere reached the Earth’s upper atmosphere that triggered these geomagnetic storms that pushed the colors of the aurora borealis further south than usual, according to national officials.
