Working to ‘Stuff the Bus’

Local residents provided 2,500 pounds of food at the Stuff the Bus event at the Grocery Outlet that nearly doubled the amount of food collect there last year, said Ashlie Lambrecht, community coordinator at Bennett Mountain High School that helps organize this yearly program.

Kain Rudisill works to load donations of food into the crates set up in a school bus provided by the Caldwell Transportation Company as people in the Mountain Home area provided various food supplies during this year’s “Stuff the Bus” campaign on Saturday.

The bus company parked buses in front of the local Albertsons, Grocery Outlet at Wal-Mart retailers as part of the effort to help restock the shelves of local food pantries in the weeks leading up to the holiday season.
