‘Stuff the Bus’ event planned

Representatives from the Caldwell Transportation Company plan to set up buses in front of the three local area supermarkets to encourage people in the community to contribute the food that gets loaded into each bus during this year's Stuff the Bus program.

In the weeks leading up to the holiday season, local businesses and citizens plan to join forces to donate and collect thousands of pounds of food to help those less fortunate during this year’s “Stuff the Bus” event, which runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday.

Held in conjunction with Bennett Mountain High School’s and Calvary Chapel’s food pantry programs, the effort allows people in the local area to donate various types of food items at the local Albertsons, Grocery Outlet and Wal-Mart retailers.
