Firefighters battle blaze north of town

City firefighters work to contain the flames that damaged a number of vehicles as well as boats, trailers and other materials located near a home on Lott Drive after a fire started there Thursday afternoon.

High winds caused a controlled burn conducted a day prior to reignite, leading to a fire near a residence on the north side of Mountain Home on Thursday afternoon.

Initial reports indicated the fire, which began around 3 p.m. that day on Lott Road, threatened what was referred to as an “elongated” number of vehicles located on this land.
