After climbing aboard one of the Mountain Home Fire Station’s vehicles, people in the Mountain Home area gained a different perspective of the local area as they rode on these vehicles as part of this year’s fire department open house event on Oct. 9.

A steady crowd of more than 1,000 people lined up along a stretch of South Main Street as the procession flowed toward Fire Station One as people in the Mountain Home area took part in the community’s annual fire prevention event Friday evening.

Lights flashed and sirens regularly blared for roughly three hours as parents and children packed into the fire station to enjoy an evening of fun and education at this year’s open house.
